  • Holding deposit capped at one weeks rent
  • Monthly rent charges
  • Deposit capped at 5 weeks rent, increasing to 6 weeks for properties with a rent over £50,000 per year
  • You can be charged a late payment fee once you’re 14 days late with rent
  • Default fee for rent payment after 14 days; no more than 3% APR above the bank of England base rate.
  • Default charges for lost keys or security fobs will be a reasonable cost for replacement and time incurred
  • A landlord or agent are entitled to charge up to £50 for the administration involved for amending the tenancy agreement or the amount of their reasonable costs, if that is higher.
  • You can be charged if the landlord or agent allows  you to terminate your tenancy early, upon your request or you leave without notice. Early termination charges mean you will be liable for the landlords re-letting costs as well as all rent due under the terms of the tenancy until the start of the replacement tenancy.
  • Bill payments including utilities,  TV license and council tax.
  • King Estate Agents are a member of the Property Ombudsman Scheme and also the Client Money Protection Scheme.
